Chris Thorburn has announced his retirement after 14 seasons today. The grizzled forward played for 5 franchises and was part of the 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues. Thorburn played 801 games, tallying 53 goals and 81 assists for 134 points. Selected 50th overall by Buffalo in 2001, he was never known for his goal scoring ability. He was more known for his tenacity and work ethic. Thorburn retires with what he calls an “unbelievable ride with a storybook ending”. Nothing but the best for Chris as he starts his new chapter of his life with his wife and 2 children. Congratulations Chris Thorburn!
