Jumbo Joe is taking his talents to Toronto and signing with the Maple Leafs. The 21 year NHL veteran is still chasing his first Stanley Cup and will provide the Leafs with leadership the locker room has never seen before. The signing is a bit interesting as Jason Spezza is set to slot in the fourth line center role. It will be intriguing to see where Thronton will slot into an already crowded Leafs’ forward group.

Jumbo Joe is set to lace up for his third team in his career. Many thought he would call it a career after last season, but he is ready to prove that he still gas plenty of gas in the tank to keep going. At a value of $700,000, it seems to be a pretty nice snag by the Leafs who have been extra busy this offseason trying to improve their roster.
Is this a good signing for the Leafs? Will Jumbo Joe finally catch that elusive dream of hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup over his head? Let us know your thoughts
