The Bruins are finally making some moves. After losing Torey Krug in free agency to the Blues, the Bruins’ blue line is looking very thin. With Chara still on the fence on his future, they need to lock up some core guys to keep the dream alive. They announced today that they have resigned RFA defenseman Matt Grzelcyk to a four-year extension with an average of $3,687,000 each season. This deal is huge as both sides avoid going through arbitration on October 20th.

This is a huge signing for the Bs. With Krug not there anymore to run the powerplay and give you some consistent offense on the back end, they need a guy like Grzelcyk to step up to a bigger role with the team. What do you think of this signing for the Bs? Let us know.
