I can guarantee no one saw this move coming at all. Taylor Hall was the best free-agent forward on the market this year and from what it sounded like, he wanted to go to a contender so he could have a chance at a championship. Teams that were rumored to be involved were Columbus, Colorado, Nashville, Montreal, or Boston. Hall has decided that he doesn’t want to go to a known contender and has decided to team up with Jack Eichel in Buffalo.
Taylor Hall is heading to Buffalo pending final approval. Details to follow.

I could just be a standard fan, but what the hell is Hall thinking? He wanted to be on a contender in September and now comes out with the most shocking move of the offseason. Eichel gets a talented winger to make him happy in Buffalo, but how long before Hall gets sick of the atmosphere? All things aside, good for Buffalo for making the best push out of everyone to land the best forward on the market. It doesn’t make any sense to me, but what do I know. Maybe Buffalo surprises us this year. We will see.
The contract sees Hall make $8 million for one year. This is a prove-it deal to show he still has a ton of skill to get a payday next year as well. What do you think of the move?
