This move would be a pretty bold statement from a Bruins team about to lose Torey Krug to free-agency. The price tag will be the biggest hurdle from a Boston standpoint as OEL is one of the game’s top defensemen and earns a hefty 8.25 million dollars a season. The asking price, no doubt, would probably start with Brandon Carlo and Jake Debrusk, which would be a very steep price to pay for a Boston team without a first-round pick this year. Whether this trade comes together or not is irrelevant to the fact that there is no doubt that general manager Don Sweeney is going to do something crazy this offseason in order to to contend.
