The Dallas Stars have now officially completed their offseason checklist with the re-signing of Roope Hintz. The final RFA for the Stars signed a three-year extension with an AAV of $3.15 million for a total of $9.45 million over the course of the contract.

Roope was a former 2nd round draft pick back in the 2015 NHL draft. He made his debut in Dallas during the 2018-19 season, where he scored nine goals and 13 assists in 58 games. This season he progressed to a 19 goal total and 14 assists. Hintz is valuable with both his speed and versatility on the ice. He is an asset the Stars are grateful to have for the next three years and hopefully longer.
